PHOTO BLOGS OF DISTINCTION

by John Coakley

We went sightseeing online today. There are a lot of engaging, compelling photography blogs out there. Here are a few of our favorites:

Fading Ad Blog by Frank H. Jump

Mr. Jump shoots fading and/or old signs on the walls of the buildings that have yet to become shiny glass luxury condominiums. He has kept a record of a number of ads that are now long gone, and he encourages readers to submit their own work. Check him out here.

Brit in Brooklyn

ibib
The name says it all – a British ex-pat’s keen photographic view of his new home. Check out the pictures from the grand opening of Coney Island’s new roller rink here.

Lonely Pictures

lp
These are indeed lonely, but in a beautiful way. Gorgeous images of small town Texas life. Good stuff if you’re missing the small town you left to come here to the big city. Check it out here.

And remember, these sites all have excellent links sections to allow you to spend even more time at work looking at pretty pictures that aren’t porn. Enjoy!
